Which Newsletter Service Should I Use?
By Carol | December 1, 2006
Dear Carol,
Your newsletter recommendation seems to be more of a shopping cart site rather than a newsletter service. The newsletter just seems to be a feature tacked on to the whole e-commerce package.
Do you prefer them over say “Get Response” or some other strictly newsletter services out there?
Great question!
Here’s how it works: I use GetResponse too, and they are a perfectly good newsletter service. I signed up with them before the shopping cart existed.
With GetResponse, you get 1 autoresponder for 1 list. So you can start a list, and send as many messages as you want to that 1 list.
With the shopping cart, you can have as many autoresponders as you want — that’s right — it’s unlimited. So if you want to offer a teleclass, and send people the bridge line automatically, you can. You just set up an autoresponder to send it to them.
It takes about 2 minutes.
If you want to send people information automatically, you just set up another autoresponder, such as “If you want to read my testimonials, send any email to testimonials@yourwebsite.com”
If you want to have people purchase your ebook online and deliver it automatically, you can upgrade to the full cart and do so seamlessly. It helps to have everything in one place, and the cart is VERY easy, and very versatile.
AND, they have awesome tech support.
Here’s the blog post on GetResponse vs. the cart:
